T-Rex  Our sweet and super pup!

  • Male
  • Around 8-10 months old is the guess.
  • Around 30-40lbs is what his fosters are guessing for his current weight.
  • He looks like a black mouth curr. He could be mixed with something but we aren't sure. He may be a pure one as well. No telling! He is a beautiful boy.
  • Friendly sweet boy that loves playing with other dogs.
  • Enjoys camping and swimming, haha!

T-Rex History: This baby was found outside of an apartment complex along with a rottweiler. The rottweiler had been roaming for months and nobody could catch him. This was their first spotting of little T-Rex. That day they were got T-Rex and were finally able to catch the rottie.  Once caught the people that saved them had no where to place them for the night. The rottie was tied to a sign and T-Rex was placed in a kennel. It was raining that night. The people were online asking for someone to help take them until morning came so they could go to the shelter. I saw them online and knew it was raining on them. We drove to get them both for the night. The people that saved them were so thankful!! It was quite the trip! T-Rex was bashful and shy at first but very sweet. That night I dried him off and he laid in his kennel so quiet! He looked up at me and let his tail wag. He melted my heart!!!! No microchip. I searched online and no lost listings. T-Rex did a stray hold period and nobody ever looked for him. That was okay... we got him a foster and he got to become a Rockers Rescue pup!

About T-Rex: So I named him T-Rex for my 5 year old daughter that loves dinosaurs. I had been planning to name a dog after a dinosaur type name for her. T-Rex it was! He is a little shy meeting new people then comes around. Does good on trips. He went camping with his foster! LOVES swimming! He is crate trained as well. For potty training he is doing good. Right now he stays in an apartment so I think when he has a yard he can go out into more frequently he will be a pro. Will just need to teach the routine/schedule or let out frequently. We would like T-Rex to have a yard to play in and a dog friend. He loves other dogs! I mean wiggle butt excited seeing them haha. His fosters say he knows how to sit and shake. Says he loves everyone and will follow you everywhere. When its time for food he jumps 3 feet in the air with excitement haha! Hearing this makes me so happy because I saw him at a rough point in his life. It is such a blessing to see this boy happy. T-Rex may be medium to large sized. He is to be an INDOORS dog. I do not want him left outdoors in a yard. He deserves to be part of the family!!!

Vetting: T-Rex is up to date on vaccines and rabies. (Last 1 year from date given.) He was heartworm tested and was negative. He is on Trifexis for heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Given monthly. It is a requirement that dogs stay on monthly heartworm prevention. T-Rex has been neutered and is microchipped! The microchip fee is included in his adoption donation and is a one time fee. (there are no yearly expenses) T-Rex also had a fecal and was treated for worms if he had any (would have to look at his records.)

Adoption: T-Rex has a $150 adoption donation fee. This fee generally never covers the amount we spend on the animals vetting/care expense. It goes as a donation to our 501c3 non profit to help us continue saving lives. We are a volunteer group and function solely on donations.
