Be sure you see my FULL bio all the way to instructions on how to apply. Some sites only show a bit of bios. My full bio can be found at www.rockersrescue.org Upon an approved application, we schedule a meet to see if yall are a great match. Please do not apply unless you have good vet history and responsible pet ownership. NOTE: Puppy cannot go to new home until after 2nd set of Vaccines and vet clearance on 2/20/23 Murphy Brown - Intake 2/8/23. Vet paper says birthday is 12/8/22. Current weight ~13lbs. Will be large breed dog. Breed: We are told Chocolate lab and Aussie Mix. History: A senior lady originally got Murphy Brown. She had an Aussie and Murphy was listed as Lab and Aussie mix. I assume it was an impulse action. She quickly realized a puppy was a tripping hazzard and a lot of work. She pleaded with someone she knew to take the pup. They got the little boy and reached out for help so we took him under our care. Personality: Murphy is a playful and sweet pup! Gorgeous eyes and coat color. He is working on learning potty training and doing well so far. Teething so plenty of chew toys are needed, haha. He's gorgeous and we can't wait for a lucky family to add him to their home. Puppies: Puppies have sharp teeth, they bite, scratch, bark, and potty. Adopter MUST be prepared for any puppy to do this. We do not take puppy adoption lightly.... you are their forever home. It is YOUR job to teach them potty training, to socialize them with other pets and people, and to integrate them properly into your household. This should be done in a kind and proper manner. You are the one that will mold them. Finances: You will need to be able to afford a puppies future vet care which includes more rounds of puppy vaccines, monthly heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, accidents that may arise, food, leash, toys, collars as they grow, etc. Dogs in general are costly when you are properly taking care of them. Requires: Secure fenced yard and not to be left outdoors unattended. Excellent vet history. Owner needs to be prepared for a puppy! Puppies are a tripping hazard for seniors or anyone with mobility issues. Owner needs to be prepared to have puppy for the duration of it's life (which can be over 10 years) Prepared for potty training, teething, accidents, etc. Vetting: Puppy will have had at least 2 sets of vaccines before leaving us. The adopter will be required to have any remaining sets done per their vet. It is important puppies get their 4 sets of vaccines to protect them. Puppy has been treated for worms and we will get a negative fecal. Puppy began a monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Will have a second vet check up. Will be microchipped via Petlink and our rescue has already paid the lifetime fee. When it comes to the neuter, we are looking at scheduling that in April at Robinsons Rescue. The rescue will cover that fee unless the adopter wishes to do the spay/neuter at their own vet clinic. That can be discussed. It will be required to be done by 6 months of age. Pictures and Videos: On our website, you should be able to click through all of our pictures we have up of each pet. Sometimes the video tab will be at the bottom of the bio. We like to have multiple pictures and a video to help you really get to see the pet. www.rockersrescue.org We do adopt to out of state adopters but it is a lengthier process. We require photos and the adopter to travel to us in order to adopt. About Applying to Adopt: This dog has a $100 adoption donation fee for approved app. This fee in no way covers all of the donations used to help this animal but it does help add back a little to help with the next life. If you wish to donate extra you can. We are a 501c3 non profit rescue that functions solely with volunteers and donations. Our adoption process can be found on our site at Adoption Process (rockersrescue.org) and the link to the app is below. TO APPLY, go to https://www.rockersrescue.org/info/adoption/ Please include as much about yourself as possible. Be sure to do the DOG application. Any questions let us know, thanks!
