Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption!

Pretty Boy (PLEASE NOTE, vet history required to apply for this pet. A calmer home is also preferred with no hyper dogs or young children. If you are interested in adopting this pet you must first fill out our application to get pre-approved. We will check needed requirements and email or call with any questions. Upon approval we will speak over the phone, if all parties are in agreeance the pet could be a great fit for your home, we would work on scheduling the meet.  Please also read requirements below.

  • Male Intake Date: 9/27/19
  • Pretty Boy appears to be a Ragdoll or Balinese. Each breed has cats that look identical to him. To some he would resemble a long haired Siamese. He is a BIG boy with all his long fur. His weight is around 13lbs. Adopter must be prepared for long haired cat and the upkeep and shedding.
  • Age estimated around 9 years. He is up to date on all vaccines, testing, neutered, and microchipped under the rescue.
  • Pretty Boy is very sweet. He loves to rub on people; will climb in your lap or face for attention. He is also a talker when he wants to speak to you.

Pretty Boy's History:       He came to us as an owner surrender with a huge wound. He was trapped under a home and his collar had gotten under his arm. The tags on his collar ripped his armpit open. It has taken months of healing and finally was able to be stitched up. We are happy to say our boy's wound is now healed. Further details will be explained to approved adopter

About Pretty Boy:   I am okay around other cats. I use to be housed with dogs but I currently avoid them in my foster home because they are too rambunctious for me. I am good with respectable kids. I love people and to get attention. I may climb in bed with you for a bit to snuggle. I also may hang out in your closet some, don't judge me, haha. I know how to talk and may use those powers. My rescue has a video of me talking from when I was at the vet once.  I am a very docile boy. At the vet I was always SO good when they treated my wounds with medicine and by shaving the area. They were surprised with how well I handled everything. I didn't like my stupid cone though. I made sure to sleep by foster moms head at night so that it might hit her and she would take it off. I finally got the cone of shame off and I am so happy. The rescue ladies tell me they can now find me a family that will ALWAYS love and protect me and never let me get hurt and put in a bad situation ever again. I can't wait to find my new family.

Some REQUIREMENTS / Notes:          *This kitty  is to be an indoors kitty. <<< If you are after an indoors/outdoors or outdoors only kitty then this is not the right kitty for you. We can help find one to meet those needs though! Just ask. This particular one...not it. Indoors only. <3

*We also do not approve of declawing. We request that you research that. We have seen many cases where cats become irritable or stop using the litter box etc. and people try to surrender them to us.

*Vet history is needed. Pretty Boy has been through so much. He deserves a home with excellent vet care and love. Adopter needs to be prepared for long hair cat, including upkeep and shedding.

*All other pets in the home must be spayed/neutered unless medically unable determined by vet/age. This is part of our requirements to adopt from our rescue. There are so many animals in the shelter that even healthy ones are euthanized for space. We do not condone breeding.

*Pretty Boy would do best in a calmer home. That means one without hyper dogs and without young children. This is what would best make HIM happy.

     Vetting:

  • Up to date on shots. Has kitty yearly vaccines and rabies vaccine.
  • Tested for FIV FeLV and was negative.
  • I am neutered.
  • On monthly kitty revolution to protect against fleas and ticks.
  •   Microchipped.

About Applying to Adopt:    This Kitty has a $50 adoption donation fee (microchip fee is included) This fee NEVER covers how much we actually spend on the animal. We are a 501c3 non profit so the fee goes back into our volunteer rescue to help us save more lives. We function solely on donations.
