Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Estimated around 1 year old. Ellis is guessed to be a Jack Russel and Rat Terrier mix (Jackrat) He has a nub tail and one ear likes to stick up. History : Ellis was originally posted online with 2 other dogs that were wandering in a neighborhood. An owner came forth and claimed their 2 dogs...unfortunately Ellis was left on the street alone. Our volunteer found him and scooped him up. Ellis did his stray hold through our local animal control and then he got to officially become a Rockers Rescue dog! Then he got neutered, all his vetting, and got to join an awesome foster home until we can find him a forever family. About Ellis: Ellis can be very affectionate when he's cuddling with you. He likes to put his paw on you, for you to admire him. You can pick him up at any time to snuggle. When Ellis goes outside he loves to chase little bug critters and munch on sticks. He loves balls, sticks, toys, and playing with animal friends. Ellis can be a busy boy with a good bit of energy , but he also will settle down and relax with you. He loves to lay in the sun, cuddle next to you, and is great at relaxing when being held. He also likes to play fetch and tug-o-war. Gentle about taking treats. At night Ellis sleeps in the bed with his foster parents. When his foster parents are not home, he is allowed free roam of the house as he is a good boy and doesn't chew anything up, etc. He's never been put in a kennel. Ellis is cat and dog friendly. Ellis is young and has learned to be an indoor dog with us, so he will need to adjust to your housetraining/pottytraining schedule. It will be up to the adopter to teach him his routine. At events Ellis does great! He does well in the vehicle and enjoys the attention from people that stop by our table. Our volunteers will scoop him up to hold him. Requirements: Secure fenced yard and must have another dog for him to play with. Indoor home. Not to be left outdoors unsupervised. Vetting: Ellis is up to date on yearly vaccinations and rabies vaccine. Neutered. He had a negative heartworm test and is on heartworm prevention. Fecal exam. On monthly flea/tick prevention. Microchipped via PetLink (lifetime registration covered in adoption donation) About Applying to Adopt: This pup has a $100 adoption donation fee (lifetime microchip fee is included) This fee generally NEVER covers how much we actually spend on the animal. We are a 501c3 non profit so the fee goes back into our volunteer rescue to help us save more lives. We function solely on donations.
