She will be a large sized dog. Vetting detailed below, I'm spayed already! History: Nadia and her brother were found and brought to our local animal control that has to euthanize for space. She had paint on her ear and had large ticks on her. Someone picked her brother to adopt him. She was lucky and got to leave the shelter with us. Breed: We do not know what breed she is. We have not done a dna test. She highly resembles some puppies under us in the past that were half olde english bulldog with staffordshire terrier and flat coat retrie ver. Some say she looks shar pei mix too. She may grow to have the big bully box head. We don't know, but considering all of her wrinkles, she will likely be a large girl. Personality: I am a puppy! Still have puppy breath too. I am not potty trained yet. I have to learn and be taught things. I do enjoy laying on a dog bed. I go in a kennel when nobody is home. I love to play with other dogs. We run around with toys and then i crash and take a nap on the doggie bed. I am sweet and playful. I'm still learning "come here" as sometimes when the human wants me, I back up right out of her reach for fun (haha.) Training and forever commitment: I'm going to grow big so I need a home prepared to properly train me... to keep me socialized with other animals and people. To train me on leash, to potty train me, etc. I need the forever commitment. Not the "until we have a baby, until we move, until I'm older, until you get a new dog" commitment. I need the forever one. I will need monthly heartworm prevention like every other dog too. Vetting: Up to date on current puppy booster vaccinations. She will have her final puppy booster due in a few weeks. Had her rabies vaccine. Dewormed. Fecal test done and was negative. Started on monthly heartworm prevention (heartguard) and monthly flea/tick prevention (nexguard) , microchipped, and spayed. When Nadia was leaving her spay appointment I noticed she has some hair thinning on her face, I had them test her for demodectic mange and I was right. Nobody else would really notice it and her hair should be growing back in soon. Demodectic mange is non contagious to other animals or humans. The nexguard flea/tick prevention will clear it up. She needs to stay on the Nexguard for at least 5 months (per vet). Then she can likely use any flea/tick prevention. Home Requirements: Nadia is to be an indoors dog. She is not to be left outside alone or allowed to free roam. A fenced yard would be best for her because she is likely to be a large sized dog and should have a good bit of energy. She is fine with kids (puppy) but keep in mind that puppies bite and scratch and jump, etc. She would do well in a home with another dog to play with. Home must understand puppies - proper and kind training, patience, love. Must be prepared to potty train. About Applying to Adopt: This pet has a $150 adoption donation fee. This fee generally NEVER covers how much we actually spend on the animal. We are a 501c3 non profit so the fee goes back into our volunteer rescue to help us save more lives.
