Rockers Rescue

Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need.  Thank you for considering adoption!   We are able to meet at PetSmart Shreveport for other locations please ask.

Cy 

• Estimated 8 weeks old around Oct 1st 
• Litterbox trained. 
• These kittens have been raised around a 6yrs old child that is respectful to animals. They are also other cat and dog friendly!
• We are current on our series of kitten shots, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. 
• There are 3 of us. In pictures you can tell us apart because Rece has the most white on her face. Cy has a black nose and chin and Patty Cake has a black spot to the left of her nose. We are so cute! We each hope to find awesome families! 

History:      These babies were rescued from a recycle dump. They were very sick and needed medicine to get better. The vet believed them to have a very bad upper respiratory infection. Rece and Cy were named after the word Recycle. Patty Cake was named after one of the ladies that helped us with their rescue. We had to give them a week of meds and we were so happy that they began to thrive! 

About:    Cy: Pronounced "s-eye". Cy is the most adventurous! He is the big brother to his little sisters. The first to explore. We actually put him in a harness and leash somewhere and he did great just playing on the table. If someone wants to hold a kitten.. I tell them to head for Cy because he loves to see and do. 

Some Notes:        *This kitty   is to be an indoors kitty. <<< If you are after an indoors/outdoors or outdoors only kitty then this is not the right kitty for you. We can help find one to meet those needs though! Just ask. This particular one...not it. Indoors only. <3 

*We also do not approve of declawing. We request that you research that. We have seen many cases where cats become irritable or stop using the litter box etc. and people try to surrender them to us. 

About Meeting Me:    Our pets are in foster homes that help us save lives. If you are interested in meeting or adopting, please start by filling out an application. Directions are below.  Once everything is cleared, we can schedule a meet.  We all must understand kitties will likely be nervous at first in a new environment. If you are wanting to pick between certain kitties just let us know. ) 

     Vetting:                

• Kittens received all of their kitten booster shot series and are now good on vaccines for a year. They also received their rabies vaccine.
• One of the litter was tested for FIV FeLV and was negative. That means they did not carry a disease.  
•  I have been dewormed.
• I am   Microchipped      (that fee is included in kitties adoption donation fee. It is a one time fee so no yearly expenses. We use PetLink. Just ask if you have questions on how microchips work. )  
• I am spayed (girl) or neutered (boy)! 

About Applying to Adopt:    This Kitty has a $40 adoption donation fee (microchip fee is included) This fee generally NEVER covers how much we actually spend on the animal. We are a 501c3 non profit so the fee goes back into our volunteer rescue to help us save more lives. We function solely on donations. 

Step1:  Email rockersrescue@gmail.com and tell us that you will be filling out an application. This is IMPORTANT as sometimes apps do not go through.  Step 2:  Fill out an app at www.adoptapet.com/rockersrescue/catadoptionapp/     Please be truthful when filling out your app and include as much information as possible.
