Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption!   We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana.

Diamond: I'm a special needs kitty. Details below.

  • Born April 9, 2018, female. I have been under the rescue my whole life, which is about 2 years.  Litterbox trained.  Child, cat, and dog friendly. Diamond has been raised around an 9 year old as well as cats and dogs.
  • Playful little kitty! Very outgoing and fun. She is a purr box with big beautiful eyes.

History:     Diamond was rescued as a newborn with her family. Her mom Sapphire and her siblings were at risk of euthanasia at our local shelter. One of our fosters took them in and they came under Rockers Rescue. All her siblings have been adopted but her and mom are still waiting to each find a family of their own.

About:    Diamond is a playful little kitty. She enjoys hanging out with other cats. She is good around dogs too. Child friendly. When she was small we considered her the life of the party! She is so fun and spunky. Loves to play and will relax by you too. She can be a purr box!  She is a curious cat! At the vet office she will hop out of her kitty bag and snoot around and rub on everything! haha. She's such a ham at every vet clinic and surprises them with how sweet she is.  She really is a more outgoing/ relaxed/ playful cat. We still call her a kitten, but we try to remember she keeps growing up on us. Just waiting for a family to love her.

Diamond is considered special needs:  Diamond has seen a specialist, and has been determined to have chronic rhinitis. Basically she will have sneezing/coughing fits at times. Sometimes a runny nose. Medicine may could be used at times to offer relief if she is flared up real bad. We were told to just keep her comfortable. She is a happy and playful girl in life and just needs a family to accept her as she is. We know that will be very hard to find... but maybe one day we can find a family with an understanding and open heart.

REQUIREMENT: All in all, Diamond needs a family that will accept her sneezing and runny nose when it happens. She needs a family that can see the happy little kitty that she is. To continue giving her the best possible care and bring her to the vet as needed. She deserves so much love! Family must have previous vet history as this is a medical case.

Some of her pictures are of her with her goodies from her Give a Gift Buddy. Each year for Christmas people pick a pet to sponsor and send Christmas gifts. It's a super sweet thing we do and each year people love getting to spoil the babies. Enjoy the pics of her with her previous Christmas gifts. This girl has a lot of people that love her.

Some Notes:     *This kitty is to be an indoors kitty. <<< If you are after an indoors/outdoors or outdoors only kitty then this is not the right kitty for you. We can help find one to meet those needs though! Just ask. This particular one...not it. Indoors only. <3

*We also do not approve of declawing. We request that you research that. We have seen many cases where cats become irritable or stop using the litter box etc. and people try to surrender them to us.

* We are ran by volunteers and will try to review your application as quickly as possible. By choosing to adopt you help us open space up to save another life!

     Vetting:

  • Up to date on shots. Received all sets of kitten vaccines and now gets her regular yearly vaccines/dewormed. Tested for FIV FeLV and negative. Spayed!  I am already fixed, so no babies for me!  I am on kitty Revolution to prevent against mites, fleas, ticks. It lasts 1 month from the date given. I have had polyps in my nasal canal removed in the past, the Dr. says they should not come back.  Microchipped with free lifetime registry.

About Applying to Adopt:   This Kitty has a waved adoption donation fee. Owner must have vet history with previous pets and understanding of Diamond's special needs. We ourselves have spent hundreds of dollars on Diamond's care. We are waving the fee due to her special needs. If you want to make a donation you may, as we are a 501c3 non profit rescue that functions solely with volunteers and donations.

TO APPLY, go to https://www.rockersrescue.org/info/adoption

Please include as much about yourself as possible. We appreciate any interest in our special girl. Let us know if you have any questions.
