Sora (the beautiful)

Sora is around 7 months old. Her weight is currently maybe 5 or 6 lbs. Her fur reminds many of a maine coon mix though we have no guarantee what she is. She is young and small right now so it just a guess with her fluffy fur and mannerisms to match. She is litterbox trained and an indoors kitty.

Sora was an owner surrender to us from a family. They had moved into a new home and found out that their kitty was not allowed. They reached out to us for help. A picture of her cuddling on mom and their son and we figured Sora may find a good family in no time.  We have found her to be a prissy girl. She comes to you for attention when she's ready. She will rub all over her foster mom.

According to her past family: She had been around another cat. It took her a few days to get use to them but she did end up adjusting. She was around a dog when she was younger. Her daughter walked through petsmart holding Sora in her arms. There were dogs walking about and they thought she did fine. Now I will say she isn't sure about the  other animals in her foster home. Then again, she has been through a lot being taken from the people she knew and trusted so I think with time she will adjust to other pets. She may be cautious with some new people, it just depends. She took to me quickly. She has had a lot going on the past few weeks so I'm sure she's ready to find a home to make her own again. She wants that one on one bonding and trust. Oh, and she will suckle and knead on blankets. She is to stay an indoors kitty. Her previous owners call her sweet and playful. I agree. While taking her pictures she was a hoot. She'd trance about as she pleased. Would watch me if she knew I was trying to catch her, haha. Apparently she likes trying to eat lovebugs that sneak in the house too! Small and prissy is my best description for her.

Vetting:  Sora is microchipped (that fee is included in his adoption donation fee. It is a one time fee so no yearly expenses. We will register her on our end then you will check your email and check the registration. From there you will get reminders to update your information. Easy peasy) She has been spayed (woohoo!) and has received a shot set and rabies shot.  She was tested for FIV and FeLV and was negative. On 1 month revolution.    * REVOLUTION protects cats against fleas (Ctenocephalides felis), heartworms (Dirofilaria immitis), roundworms (Toxocara cati), hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) and ear mites (Otodectes cynotis).

About Applying to Adopt:  Sora has a $50 adoption donation fee (microchip fee is included) This fee generally NEVER covers how much we have actually spend on the animal. We are a 501c3 non profit so the fee goes back into our volunteer rescue to help us save more lives. We function solely on donations. Step1: email rockersrescue@gmail.com and tell us that you will be filling out an application. Step 2: fill out an app at www.adoptapet.com/rockersrescue/catadoptionapp/     Please be truthful when filling out your app and include as much information as possible.

We also do not approve of declawing. We request that you research that. We have seen many cases where cats become irritable or stop using the litter box etc. and people try to surrender them to us.
