  • GiGi is a female cocker spaniel.

  • Young and playful!
  • Goes to potty outside. "may have accident but seems to go to door when she wants out)
  • Lots of energy. Especially since she has been in boarding a while.
  • Will require regular grooming. Had to have ears and legs shaved due to matting.
  • Very loving and affectionate. Loves toys and balls.
  • Will require meet n greet with any other pets.
  • Likes to sit in your lap or next to you for petting.

GiGi history: GiGi was found on a street and brought to Alexandria animal control. I, founder/president of Rockers Rescue, spotted her picture online and fell in love. She looks identical to one of my cocker spaniels when she was the same age. If my dog could go back in time...they would be twins. I made the 2 hour drive down to get GiGi and place her under our rescue to ensure she was taken care of and finds a good forever home.

GiGi Current Info: GiGi  has been in boarding at our vet since beginning February.  Reason being she had a "sneezing condition" we couldn't figure out. One day the connection had been made.  GiGi has been starved in the past. She eats her food so quickly it can go up her nasal canal and cause sneezing.   She now has a slow feeder and it has helped tremendously. She may have some allergy issues going on as well.  GiGi is still in boarding at our vet until we find an adopter or foster.

Personality:  GiGi is very playful! She loves toys and people! Even likes rolling in the grass right now since she has been in boarding for a while. Really needs a yard to run around in. GiGi is good around calm dogs but may be good with a dog that could put her in her place as well.  Meet n greet will be required right now if you have other animals.

Vetting: Up to date on shots (last 1 year from date given), spayed, microchipped under rescue (see below), heartworm negative and on prevention(which owners must continue doing), on flea/tick prevention, dewormed, xrays, nasal rinse and thorough exams.

About Microchip:       Our animals are microchipped under the rescue. By having the animals microchipped under us it provides us with a definite option of the animal being safe if found. If the pet ever goes missing you can let us know as well so we may help find them. If we ever are called on the animal being found we will try our best for 2 weeks to get in contact with the owners (as you should also be trying to get in contact with us) and if the owner is not found after 2 weeks the animal is legally ours again via our contract. This is a GREAT safety precaution for loving families. It means you will have an awesome caring team devoted to reuniting you with your baby. We ourselves have found microchipped dogs that have been rehomed and ended up in shelters on a euthanasia list. We take this very seriously as we never want that to happen to any of our animals. We also require first option of taking an animal back if the home does not work out. You can consider us a forever family for the pets adopted from us.

Adoption:  Any inquiries on adoption please feel free to message us. We are preferring a home with a yard for GiGi, no apartments.  All information stated above is the the best of our knowledge for for as long as we have known this sweet girl. Adoption fee of $100.
Must have a vet reference when filling out one of our applications.
First email us to let us know you are sending it, rockersrescue@gmail.com then go to the following site to fill out the application. Include as much information as you can...we like to get to know our possible adopters!      www.adoptapet.com/ rockersrescue/adoptionapp/  .
