Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana. (Out of state adoptions ARE possible.)

Kitten Possum

Male, Yes, you can change his name. (haha)

History: Little Possum was found by a local animal advocate. He was wandering near a road as a wee little kitten. She scooped him up to save him and reached out to us. We took the little boy under our care. With some great tlc little Possum thrived and is doing great! Possum escaped our care one day when a kennel broke apart on us, we had 3 kittens we had to catch! Possum survived two nights in a thicket before we were able to catch him. We were so happy to have our baby back and so was he! He gained a ton of fan support online as everyone prayed for him. He's got quite the stories to tell! His nose has a bit of a scratchy patch from the briers on his journey.

About Possum: He is a sweet boy with a quaint personality. He's pretty quiet. Currently if you walk up to him in a room sometimes he will scurry out of your way. Break out some canned food if you want, he loves it! Possum has been around children and other kitties. He's very playful. Uses his litterbox and enjoys a kitty tree. He's very loving but also likes his safe places. Time and love will have him more use to a home environment. He's had 3 different foster homes and never really a stable place to walk about a home and be a kitten.

Kitten will have a $40 adoption donation with the following included:

Kittens are current on age appropriate vaccines.

Kitten will be microchipped with a free lifetime registry.

Kitten has had FIV FeLV testing and was negative. Kittens are also treated for any worms.

Kitten will be spayed/neutered.

Some Notes: This kitty is to be an indoors kitty. <<< If you are after an indoors/outdoors or outdoors only kitty then this is not the right kitty for you. We can help find one to meet those needs though! Just ask. <3

We also do not approve of declawing. We request that you research that. We have seen many cases where cats become irritable or stop using the litter box etc. and people try to surrender them to us. Nail caps can be a great aid to any kitty with scratching tendencies.

We are ran by volunteers and will try to review your application as quickly as possible. By choosing to adopt you help us open space up to save another life!

There will be a $40 adoption donation fee. This fee generally NEVER covers how much we actually spend on the animal. We are a 501c3 non profit so the fee goes back into our volunteer rescue to help us save more lives. We function solely on donations. Steps to apply below.
