Brody Kitten: my family is not available until around April 17th as we will be 8 weeks old then. There is a $10 holding fee to claim me after approved and $40 adoption fee when you take me home.

My History: My sweet mommy Clover was found one day and brought to animal control. She was pregnant with my family though! She had myself and my 3 siblings while at the shelter. One day some people came to the shelter with 3 kittens that were found in the wall of a building in Shreveport. My mommy took them in too! We adopted them as part of our family. We call them the "wall kitties." They are about a week younger than us and not available for adoption just yet. Rockers Rescue came to save us from being euthanized. The day that they took us home people brought another wall kitty to the shelter. Our foster ran back to save that kitty too! There were 4 of us and 4 of them although sadly we lost the runt of the wall kitties. We are known as the Clover Clan. We are special! We rock! Also our mommy is a pretty Calico. Our dad may have been a manx as two of us don't have tails!

Vetting: We will have our first set of kitten shots and be dewormed. You have to get me fixed when I'm big enough! That's a rule and a GOOD one. Between 4 - 6 months of age you can bring me to be altered. (June 11th to August 6th) I should meet the weight requirement then. Robinsons Rescue Spay Neuter Clinic is only $38 for a male kitty and $48 for a female. Now that's a deal! You should also see your vet to get me more shots as needed.

Rockers Rescue does NOT promote declawing of kitties. They get requests all the time to take in cats that have had behavioral changes. Usually they ask the grand question and its true... the cats behavior changed and they had been declawed. (or they have a urinary tract infection and the owner doesn't know.) We DO however suggest trimming kitty nails OR using Nail Caps! Nail Caps easily cover my nails so I can still use my normal kitty functions but not scratch up anything. And get kitty toys too.
